WOODROW I. "Woody" BOWEN, 94, of Eaton, OH, died Thursday, June 7, 2012 at Reid Hospital in Richmond, IN. Born on June 16, 1917 in Kissimmee, FL, he was the son of the late William Isaih & Emily Samantha (Bivens) Bowen. Woody retired in 1982 after 30 years as a carrier for the Eaton Post Office and was a U.S. Army WW II veteran.

Preceded in death by Brothers: Jesse and Charles Bowen; Sisters: Virginia Waldron, Olive Bronson and Mary Lou Ungaro; Grandchildren: Mark Kleinberg and Vonita Bowen.

Survived by his Wife: Maurine L. (Gray) Bowen; Children: Glen (Norma Crothers) Bowen, Eaton, OH, Kay (Tim) Richardson, Deland, FL, Wayne I. (Carol) Bowen, New Paris, OH and Gene C. Bowen, Los Angeles, CA; 6 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren including Adam Shiflett and 5 great great grandchildren.

Graveside Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, June 13, 2012 in Preble Memory Gardens, West Alexandria, OH with Rev. Lowell T. Spencer officiating and the Preble County Honor Guard will perform military honors.

Memorial Contributions may be made to the Eaton Emergency Squad, P.O. 27, Eaton, OH 45320. Arrangements entrusted to Barnes Funeral Home, Eaton, OH.
