William S. Reece, Sr.

WILLIAM S. “BILL” REECE, Sr., age 87, of Dayton , Ohio , died Sunday, November 26, 2006 at Heartland of Centerville in Centerville, Ohio. Born on December 2, 1918 in Somerville, Butler County, Ohio, he was the son of the late James Newton & Nancy Louise (Wilson) Reece. He retired from the General Motors Engine Plant after 30 years of service. He was a WWII US Army veteran. In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by his wife: DeLorise Maude Elizabeth (Simpson) Reece in 1995, daughter: Nancy Bates; sisters: Susie, Ellen and Mary; brothers: Ralph L., Ernest, Bob and Joe “Dewey”.

He is survived by Sons & Daughters-in-law: Gary D. & Kathy A. Reece of Beavercreek, Ohio and Clarence W. “Bill” & Linda Reece, Jr. of Florida; Sister: Elizabeth Craig of Eaton, Ohio; Grandchildren: Lalaena & Lance Wells of Manchester, Ohio, Nikki & Kris Vultee of Beavercreek, Ohio, Tanya & Bob Thomas of Lebanon, Ohio, Tiffany Reece of Brookville, Ohio and Jimmy Bates of Beavercreek, Ohio. Eight Great Grandchildren. Nieces and Nephews. The family wishes to express a very special thank you to the staff of Heartland of Centerville for all their kindness during this difficult time.

Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, November 30, 2006 - 11:00 A.M. at Nein - Barnes Funeral Home - 249 N. Main Street - Camden, Ohio with Rev. Riley Parker officiating. Interment with full military honors provided by the Preble County Honor Guard will be held in Fairview Cemetery in West Alexandria, Ohio. Family will receive friends on Wednesday, November 29, 2006 from 4:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. at the funeral home.
