William J. Lewis, 81 of Eaton, Ohio, died Saturday, March 9, 2024 at Hospice of Dayton. Born on April 16, 1942 in Norristown, Pennsylvania, he was the son of the late William D. & Eva (Ryman) Lewis.
Bill was a self-employed truck driver. He was a graduate of the Upper Dublin High School in Montgomery County, Pennsylvania and later served in the U.S. Army during Vietnam. Member of the King Hiram Masonic Lodge #88 in West Alexandira, Ohio, Eastern Star and Scottish Rite Valley Dayton.
Preceded in death by an infant sister in 1937; Brother-in-law: Dennis Vogel.
Survived by his Wife of 41 years: Dianna D. (Thacker) Lewis; Stepdaughters: Ronda (Steve) Dillon, Dianna (Frankie) Elam and Melissa (Craig) McKee; Sister: Anita L. Vogel; Nephews: Bruce (Carol Ann) Vogel and Brian (Jane) Vogel; Niece: Miriam (Mark) Henry; 11 grandchildren; 19 Great Grandchildren.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, March 14, 2024 from 11:00 A.M. to 1:00 P.M. at Barnes Funeral Home, 220 East Main Street, Eaton, Ohio. Masonic Service will start at 12:45 P.M. followed by the Funeral Service at 1:00 P.M. with Pastor Randy Smith officiating. Interment will be held in Monroe Cemetery with military honors by the Preble County Honor Guard.
