He loved to read, especially "how to" books. Larry was a great teacher who enjoyed debates and challenges, and taught his daughter how to make her way in life. Larry was a long-time, loyal member of St. John Catholic Church in New Paris, and a member of the Knights of Columbus. He taught CCD classes for his church for over 15 years, and was a lover of all animals.
He was preceded in death by his father, grandparents, and uncle. In addition to his wife, survivors include his daughter Valerie Sutton, Hartford City, IN; grandsons: Andrew Ryan Hayes, Richmond, IN, Ethan Wayne Hayes, Charleston, VA; Mother Dorothy Sutton, brother Donnie (Margaret) Sutton, sister Merry (Tom) Ranson, all of VA, & sister Carol (Lee) Dickerson of IL.
