William G. Doran

WILLIAM G. “BILL” DORAN, age 75, of Camden, OH died Wednesday, May 17, 2006 at his residence. Born on May 4, 1931 in Dixon Township, Preble County, OH, he was the son of the late Kelly Isaac & Ethel L. (Hensley) Doran. He was a 1950 graduate of Dixon High School and a veteran of the U.S. Marines having served during the Korean Conflict. He was a farmer from 1955 to 1973, having farmed in Union County, IN and Preble County, OH. From 1972 to 2006 he was the owner and operator of the Depot Dairy Bar and Restaurant in Camden. Member of the Camden Village Council, the Preble County Pork Festival Committee and the Preble County Zoning board. He was an avid fisherman. He is preceded in death by an infant sister and his sister: Evelyn Richardson.

Survived by his wife Sondra G. (Crawford) Doran whom he married on November 16, 1982 at the West Elkton Friends Church. Sons and Daughters-in-law: Thomas W. & Marsha Doran of Eaton, OH and Kelly & Kris Doran of Camden, OH; Grandchildren: Joshua Doran of Middletown, OH, Trisha Doran of Eaton, OH and Chad and Brenna Doran of Camden, OH; Brothers and Sister-in-law: Russell Doran of Peebles, OH and Ronald & Rosalie Doran of Eaton, OH; Sisters and Brother-in-law: Thelma Bolinger, Cledith Bresher and Phyllis & Floyd Smith all of Eaton, OH; Step Children: John E. & Debbie Coleman of Camden, OH, Chris Ann & Don Smith of Louisville, KY and James M. & Michelle Coleman of Middletown, OH; Step Grandchildren: Angela (Chris) Fuchs, John M.(Tala) Coleman, Joseph Coleman all of Camden, Jacob Coleman of Middletown, OH, Kelli Coleman of Camden, OH, Zayne Snyder of Middletown, OH, Matthew and Erin K. Smith of Louisville, KY; Step Great Grandchildren: Brandon & Breanna Fuchs of Camden, OH. Brothers-in-law, Sisters-in-law, Nieces, Nephews and Cousins.

Funeral service will be at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, May 20, 2006 at The First Southern Baptist Church-35 N. Liberty St.- Camden, Ohio with Rev. Greg Jackson officiating. Interment with full military honors provided by the Preble County Honor Guard will be in Fairmount Cemetery in Camden. Family will receive friends on Friday, May 19, 2006 from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the church.
