Willard "Buddy" Muncy, Jr

Willard “Buddy” Muncy, Jr. 80, of Eaton, Ohio, died Saturday, January 28, 2023 in Eaton. Born on July 28, 1942 in Harlan County, Kentucky, he was the son of the late Willard & Ruby O. (Frye) Muncy, Sr. Buddy was a 1960 West Alexandria High School graduate and had attended the Eaton Baptist Temple. He was active with the Senior Center in Eaton for many years, coached T-Ball, loved bowling, woodworking, gardening, card playing and fishing, but the greatest joy of his life was his grandchildren and great grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his Son: Kurt D. Muncy; Siblings: Colleen Mason, Herman Muncy, Sam Muncy and Mary Ellen Oliver.

Survived by his Wife of 60 years: Barbara C. (McCarty) Muncy; Son: Jeffrey S. (Julie) Muncy; Brother: William (Bobbie Jean) Muncy; Brother-In-Law: Everett Mason and Sister-in-law: Nancy Muncy. Grandchildren: Lauren (Walker) Johnston, Jenna Muncy, Kate (Nick) Duskey and Tiffany Ann Hess; Great Grandchildren: Emma, Caiden, Susie, Amelia, Rosie and Atticus.

Funeral Service will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Wednesday, February 1, 2023 at Barnes Funeral Home, 220 East Main Street, Eaton Ohio with Rev. Lowell T. Spencer officiating. Interment will be held in Mound Hill Cemetery in Eaton. Family will receive friends on Wednesday from 11:00 A.M. to 1:00 P.M. at the funeral home.
