Wilda J. Blankenship

Wilda J. Blankenship, age 72, of Jacksboro, Tennessee and formerly of Brookville, Ohio, died Thursday, July 6, 2006 at St. Mary’s Medical Center in Knoxville, Tennessee. Born on November 23, 1933 in Batavia, Ohio, she was the daughter of the late Earl P. & Irene M. (Spaulding) Gibson. She was a 1953 graduate of Lewisburg Union High School of Lewisburg, Ohio. Wilda retired after 16 years as an electronic assembler. She had worked for McGregor & Associates, Stanhope Products, and McCalls. Member of the Cedar Hill Baptist Church of LaFollette, Tennessee. Longtime member of the First United Methodist Church of Brookville, Ohio. Preceded in death by brothers: William E. Gibson and Wilber L. Gibson; sisters: Stella M. Hawkey and Betty J. Rehmert.

Survived by husband of 50 years: Bruce Blankenship of Jacksboro, Tennessee; daughter: Tammy Blankenship of Jacksboro, Tennessee; brothers: Robert C. Gibson of Verona, Ohio and Ronald A. Gibson of Lewisburg, Ohio; sisters: Thelma M. Sturgis of Cambridge City, Indiana and Rona L. Studebaker of West Manchester, Ohio; granddaughter: Geneal E. M. Duer of Jacksboro, Tennessee; Numerous Nieces, Nephews, Cousins, and Friends.

Graveside Service will be held 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, July 11, 2006 at Roselawn Cemetery in Lewisburg, Ohio with Rev. Rodney Shelley officiating. Family will receive friends on Monday, July 10, 2006 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Barnes Funeral Home - 411 North Commerce Street - Lewisburg, Ohio.
