Wilbur H. (Bud) Schultz

Wilbur H. "Bud" Schultz, age 93 formerly of New Paris, Ohio, died Friday, December 23, 2011 in Avon Park, FL. Born on December 9, 1918 in Eaton, OH he was the son of the late Paul B. & Imogene (Shafer) Schultz. Bud was a 1938 graduate of Eaton High School and served in the U.S. Army. In 1983 he retired as a Service Representative for Natco in Richmond, IN after 42 years of service. He was member of the Natco 25 year club and attended the Church of Christ in New Paris. Preceded in death by his 1st wife of 46 years: Doris L. Schultz in 1986; brothers: Walter Schultz and Herman Schultz; sister; Helen Biehl.

Survived by his wife: Rosemary (Cook) Schultz of Frostproof, FL; son Richard (Amy) Schultz of New Paris, OH; daughters: Sherrie (Millard) Chandler and Linda Hardin both of New Paris, OH and Bettie (Jerry) Erickson of Beaumont, CA; step-sons: Wilbur Van Dyne of Frostproof, FL; Albert Van Dyne of Indianapolis, IN and David Van Dyne of Las Vegas, NV; step daughters: Sharon (James) Lawrence of Frostproof, FL; Mary Martha Fulton and Ruthie Johnson both of St. Clairsville, OH. 7 grandchildren: Christy (Robert) Cayce; Steven (Melissa) Simpson; Lee (Suzanne) Settles; Karen Settles; Kevin (Brooke) Chandler; Sherrie Jo Chandler and Amanda (Scott) Johnson; 8 great grandchildren: Kayla (Jason) Coop; Lacie Alvord; Cierra Cayce; Aubree Simpson; Kaylee Settles; Aiden Chandler; Cody Simpson; Gavin Shaffer and 1 great grandchild due in January 2012. 2 Step Great Grandchildren: Marissa Cayce and Jazmine DiStefano; great great grandson: Cayden Coop.

Funeral service will be 1:00 PM Thursday, December 29, 2011 at Barnes Funeral Home – 109 West Main Street – New Paris, OH. Interment will be held in Springlawn Cemetery in New Paris. Family will receive friends on Thursday, December 29, 2011 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the funeral home.
