Wayne Bachman

Wayne Bachman, 99, of Eaton, Ohio, died Tuesday, January 17, 2012 at Vancrest Health Care Center in Eaton. Wayne was born on July 23, 1912 in Atlanta, Indiana the son of the late William & Hattie (Long) Bachman. He retired in 1977 after 15 years of service with Dayton Power & Light Company. He moved to Eaton in 1986. Member of the McAuthur Grange, Harrison Grange, Pomona Grange and the Eaton Grange; Widow Persons Group, Preble County Senior Citizen's Center; 1st Christian Church of Bellefontaine, OH and the United Church of Christ of Eaton and a past Diaconates of the Church. Proceeded in death by his wife: Dorothy C. Bachman in 2000; brothers: Faulta Bachman in 1967, Glen Bachman in 1942 and half-brother: Walter Bockover in 1974; two sisters: Iona Falconbury and Wilma Smith both in 2003; great grandson: Reed King.

Survivors: daughter & son-in-law: Judy and Ed King of Eaton, OH; 3 grandchildren: Jim & Tiffany King of Lexington, KY; Valerie & George Glaze of Burke, VA and Jeff & Melissa King of Eaton, OH; 8 great grandchildren: Meredith, Peter, Isaac and Mia King; Joshua and Amanda Glaze; Hannah and Joel King.

Funeral service will be held 5:00 PM Sunday, January 22, 2012 at Barnes Funeral Home, 220 East Main Street, Eaton, Ohio with Rev. Roger Stine officiating. Family will receive friends on Sunday, January 22, 2012 from 3:00 to 5:00 PM at the funeral home. Graveside service will be held 10:00 AM Monday, January 23, 2012 in Greenwood Cemetery – DeGraff, Ohio with Rev. Gene Marine officiating.
