Waymon A. Hawkins, Jr., age 55 of Brookville, OH, died Saturday, February 18, 2006 at Good Samaritan Hospital in Dayton, OH. Born on August 7, 1950 in Carthage, TN. he has lived in the Brookville area since 1969. He was a dedicated father and business owner, operating Hawkins Roofing for 32 years. Member of Standing Stone Praise & Worship Center of Hilham, TN and the Orlando B.A.D.D. (Bikers against drunk Drivers). Preceded in death by his wife: Emma Jean Hawkins in 1987; father: Waymon A. Hawkins; step-father: Vestal Morgan; sister: Angela Hawkins in 1942; sister-in-law: Dee Dee and brother-in-law: Everett Garthwait.
Survived by mother: Loami Hawkins Morgan of Hilham, TN; daughters & sons-in-law: Betsy & Bobby Metcalf of Winchester, TN; Vickie & Jared Woodyard of South Bend, IN; Melissa Hawkins of Eaton, OH; step son: Ronnie Jones of Pikeville, TN; sisters & brothers-in-law: Barbie & Roy Barlow of Coldspring, TX; Becky & Donnie Bull of Rickman, TN; Pam Garthwait of Eaton, OH; brothers and sisters-in-law: Willie & Kathy Hawkins of Lewisburg, OH; Mike & Linnie Hawkins and Johnny & Tammy Hawkins both of Hilham, TN; 4 step sisters and 2 step brothers. Grandsons: Austin Metcalf, Justin Metcalf, Garrett Woodyard, Wyatt Woodyard, Brett Woodyard and Derek Jones; granddaughter: Mikayla Metcalf. Many nephews and nieces who he held very high in his heart. Also many special family members and friends.
Funeral Service will be held 11:00 a.m. Saturday, February 25, 2006 at Lewisburg United Methodist Church - 3147 US Rt. 40 East - Lewisburg, OH with Rev. Michael D. Pratt and Brother Jerry Buck officiating. Entombment will be in Royal Oak Memorial Gardens - Brookville, OH. Family will receive friends on Friday, February 24, 2006 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 PM at Barnes Funeral Home - 411 North Commerce Street - Lewisburg, OH.
