Warren "Phil" Johnson

Warren "Phil" Johnson, Jr., age 87, died on Saturday, February 22, 2014 at Atrium Hospital in Middletown, OH. Born on July 10, 1926 in Camden, OH he was the son of the late Warren I. & Lilly (Creech) Johnson. Warren was a 1944 Camden High School graduate and he served in the U.S. Navy during W.W. II. In 1980 he retired as the Deputy Fire Chief of Middletown Fire Department after 26 years of service. Preceded in death by his wife of 59 years: Wilma Jean (Howerton) Johnson in 2008; brother: Edward B. Johnson.

Survived by his children: Phillip A. & friend Carla Johnson of Ross, OH, Steven Lee Johnson of Middletown, OH,, Lezett A. Noble of Trenton, OH, Scott L. & Cathy Johnson of Ludlow, KY and Nannett & Robert Loague of Middletown, OH; brother: Richard Gene (Marion) Johnson of California and sister: Ruth E. Hansbourgh of Kentucky. 14 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren, 2 great great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Family will receive friends on Thursday, February 27, from 4:00 to 8:00 P.M. at Nein - Barnes Funeral Home - 249 North Main Street - Camden, Ohio. Funeral Service will be held 10:00 A.M. Friday, February 28, 2014 at the funeral home with interment in Fairmount Cemetery in Camden, OH.
