Warren A. Craig, 90 of Monroe, OH, went to be with the Lord on January 21, 2014. Born on August 20, 1923 in Fairhaven, OH, son of the late Francis & Katie (Jones) Craig. A 1941 graduate of Camden High School. Warren proudly served in the US Army during WWII, serving in England, France, Austria and Germany as a Radio & Linesman Tech. Awarded the Purple Heart during his service in Germany. Long-time resident of Preble Co. (Eaton & Camden) and he also lived in Corpus Christi, TX, Branson, MO and West Columbia, TX. Retired as a Civil Servant from the Army Helicopter Repair Center (ARADMAC) at the Naval Air Station in Corpus Christi, TX as a Computer Systems Analyst. He was very active in his church and community, having served at the First Brethren Church in Camden, OH. Active Member of Berean Baptist Church in Middletown, OH. He also served as a City Councilman; Voting Precinct Judge; and on various City Committees in the Communities where he resided. Warren was a devoted Husband and Father and his Leadership will be greatly missed.
Preceded by his wife of 60 years, Imogene V. (Boling) Craig in 2003; brothers, Chester, Robert, and Alden Craig; sisters, Pearl Spitler and Lola Bullard; grandson, Nathan Craig.
Survived by his wife, Bobbie (Wenzelburger) Craig of Monroe, OH; children, Barbara (Charles) Hoover of Denver, CO, Judy (David) Taylor of Middletown, OH, Larry W. (Linda) Craig of Tyler, TX and Rick (Charlene) Craig of Farmersville, TX; step-sons, Greg (Robin) Meyer of Fenton, MO and Ron Meyer of Toledo, OH; 15 grandchildren; 26 great grandchildren; 8 great great grandchildren; A host of extended family and friends who helped make his journey here very special.
Funeral Service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 25, 2014 at Nein-Barnes Funeral Home, 249 N. Main St., Camden, OH with Brother Larry W. Craig officiating. Interment will be held in Fairmount Cemetery in Camden, OH. Family will receive friends on Saturday, January 25, 2014 from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
