Wallace D. "Pete" Jeanes

Wallace D. "Pete" Jeanes, 84, of New Paris, OH, died Sunday, December 16, 2012 at his residence. Born on November 3, 1928 in New Paris, OH, he was the son of the late Floyd E. & Irene A. (Wehrley) Jeanes. Pete retired from American Aggregate in Richmond after 46 years of service. A 1946 graduate of Boston, Indiana High School, member of St. Paul United Methodist Church in New Paris where he held many different positions and was a member and Past Master of the Masonic Fellowship Lodge # 106 F & A.M. in New Paris. Pete loved watching his grandsons playing football and baseball, especially the Cincinnati Reds, Ohio State football and basketball, reading, doing crossword puzzles and watching old western movies. After his retirement, he served as Grandpa's Taxi Service for his grandsons.

Preceded in death by Brothers: Russell & Marvin Jeanes; Sisters: Winifred Winebrenner, Beverly Riggs, Judith Groves and Kay Jeanes.

Survived by Wife of 52 years: Carolyn S. (Fulks) Jeanes; Son: Gary D. Jeanes, New Paris, OH; Daughter & Son-in-law: Deanna L. (Bob) Raper, Richmond, IN; Brother: Harry (Violet) Jeans, Fountain City, IN; Sister: Patty Turner, Richmond, IN; Sister-in-law: Marceil Jeanes, Richmond, IN; Grandchildren: Dalton & Clayton Raper; Nieces and Nephews and a host of friends.

Funeral Service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, December 21, 2012 at Barnes Funeral Home, 109 West Main Street, New Paris, OH with Pastor Jeff Ginter officiating. Interment will be held in Spring Lawn Cemetery in New Paris. Family will receive friends on Thursday, December 20, 2012 from 4 – 8 p.m. at the funeral home with Masonic Service at 7:45 p.m.
