Virginia G. Wanner, 94, of Spokane, Washington formerly of Preble County, OH died Monday, August 15, 2016 in Spokane, Washington, Virginia was born on September 1, 1921 in Pulaski County, Virginia the daughter of the late Samuel S. & Bessie (Smith) Hawley. She retired as an Admissions Secretary at Shands Hospital and had lived in Gainesville, Florida most recently before moving to Spokane WA to spend her remaining years with her family. Member of the Moran United Methodist Church in Spokane WA, and the Red Hat Society.
Preceded in death by her husband: Thomas Albert Wanner in August 1992; brothers: Clifford M. Hawley, L. Thurman Hawley, Robert B. Hawley, Wilbur E. Hawley, James Custin Hawley, Harold Roger Hawley and Lloyd D. Hawley; sisters: E. Stella May Hawley, Pricilla Leah McDaniels, Ruth Haven Young, L. Berenice McKee and Helen Louise Miller.
Survivors include her daughter: Susan Lynn Williams of Chugiak, Alaska; Grandchildren: Bryant & Justine Williams, Jr.; Nathaniel Williams; Amber Williams & fiancé Kenny Chandler all of Spokane, Washington. Great Grandchildren: Vanessa Holsworth, Raeven Holsworth, Donte Williams, Teanna Williams, Josiah Williams, Izaiah Branson, Marleah Potter, Kailani Dehart, Mariah Harris, Ezekyel Branson, Ethan Branson, Jacory Williams and Camaria Chandler; and one unborn Great great grandchild; God daughter: Amy Holsworth Bond.
A Washington memorial service will be held 2:00 P.M. Wednesday, September 7, 2016 at the Moran United Methodist Church, 3601 E. 65th Ave., Spokane, WA 99223 with Pastor Barbara Caviezel officiating.
A Ohio memorial service will be held 11:00 A.M. Saturday, September 10, 2016 at Barnes Funeral Home 220 East Main Street Eaton, Ohio with Rev. Chris Farmer officiating. Interment will be in Sugar Grove Cemetery near West Alexandria, Ohio.
In lieu of flowers, the family has asked that memorial contributions please be made to the Moran United Methodist Church or the Chihuahua Rescue and Referral of Washington via the website www.chihuahuarescueandreferrals.com.
