Viola Ross

VIOLA ROSS, age 88, formerly of Camden, Ohio, died Wednesday, May 10, 2006 at the Peachtree Center in Smyrna, Tennessee. Born on January 10, 1918 in Rockcastle County, Kentucky, she was the daughter of the late Thomas R. & Lillie (Abney) Purvis. She was a member of the Northside Chapel First Church of God in Camden. Preceded in death by Husband: Edgar P. Ross in 1983; daughter: Patricia Rieger in 1983; Grandson: Tommy Steele in 1960; Brothers Ray and Bill Purvis and sister: Fariey Fisher. Following her passing, her son Edgar Donald Ross died on May 12, 2006.

Survived by Daughter: Phyllis J. Creviston of Mt. Juliet, Tennessee; Son: Gary A. Ross of Berea, Kentucky; Brother: John Purvis and sisters: Lucille Jackson, Joyce Sheard and Laura Darr. Several Grandchildren and Great Grandchildren. Nieces and Nephews.

Funeral Service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, May 15, 2006 at the Northside Chapel First Church-6820 North Main Street-Camden, Ohio 45311 with Pastor Wade Crosby officiating. Interment will be held in Fairmount Cemetery in Camden. Family will receive friends on Monday from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. at the church.
