Victoria N. Cannon

VICTORIA N. CANNON, age 95, of Richmond, IN, died Saturday evening July 23, 2011 at Golden Living Center in Richmond, IN. Born June 19, 1916 in Blount County TN, she was the daughter of the late Robert A. and Mary Lou (Rhyne) Porter. Victoria retired from the Belden Corporation in 1971 after 26 years of service. She was a member of the New Paris Church of Christ. Preceded in death by her husband of 41 years, Charles O. Cannon in 1997; two infant brothers; three sisters: Lizzie Raulston, Margaret Eidson and Lucille Benson; a great granddaughter: Sarah Dawes; nephew: Marvin C. Benson.

Survived by two sons: William H. Dreaden of Richmond, IN and James F. (Judy) Dreaden of Centerville, IN. Daughter: Mayme J. (Peter) Jurkat of Santa Fe, NM. Nine grandchildren, seventeen great grandchildren and four great great grandchildren; special nephew Richard L. (Judy) Benson of Eldorado, Ohio.

Funeral services will be on Wednesday, July 27, 2011 at 12:00 p.m. at Barnes Funeral Home, 109 West Main Street, New Paris, OH with Rev Alan D. Keesling officiating. Interment will be in Spring Lawn cemetery at New Paris, OH. Family will recieve friends two hours prior to the service, 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. on Wednesday, at the funeral home.
