Victor L. Martin

Victor L. Martin 87 of Eaton, Ohio and formerly of New Paris, Ohio passed away on Tuesday, July 11, 2023, at Vancrest of Eaton. Born on June 27, 1936, in Williamsburg, Indiana he was the son of the late Hamilton & Henrietta (Gregg) Martin. He had attended the Southview Nazarene Church in Richmond and the Eaton Baptist Church. He retired in1995 from the Dana Corporation in Richmond and was a Preble County Farmer from 1967 to 1992.

Preceded in death by wife of 65 years, Gladys N. Martin in 2022; two daughters: Debra Sue Martin in 1961 and Rhonda Lynn Martin in 1963; brothers: Emmett Martin, Denver Martin, Elvan Martin and John Martin; sisters: Irene Saylor, Berneice Schlosser, LaDema McDermitt, and Sharon Pearce.

Survived by children: Tim & Brandy N. Martin of New Paris, OH and Ricky & Connie Martin of Eaton, OH; grandchildren: Nikki & Patrick Murphy and Owen Martin; great grandchildren: Katie Murphy and Harper Murphy; 3 sisters: Faye Martin, Esther Shuler and Ruth Martin.

Family will receive friends Friday, July 14, 2023, from 10:00 A.M. to 11:00 A.M. on Friday, July 14, 2023, at Barnes Funeral Home – 109 West Main Street – New Paris, Ohio. The funeral service will be held 11:00 A.M. at the funeral home with Rev. Paul Mingus officiating. Interment will be in Spring Lawn Cemetery New Paris.
