Vickie S Blevins

Vickie S. Blevins, age 56, of New Paris, OH, died on Tuesday, February 6, 2018 after a long battle with cancer. Born on March 29, 1961 in Richmond, Indiana, daughter of James Andrew & Bonnie Lee (Mackey) Wright. Vickie was a Bar Manager at the American Legion, Post 360 in New Paris, OH for many years, she and her husband John assisted in the founding of the Legion Riders of Post 360. Vickie was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the American Legion. She was a Devoted Grandmother and loved her family. Preceded by Father: James Andrew Wright in 2017; Brother: James “Bo” Wright, Jr.; Husband of 39 years, John W. Blevins in 2017. Survived by Children: John William “Billy” (Lori) Blevins II, Felecia (Jason) Niswonger, Andrew Duane (Ashley) Blevins and Angela Morris; Grandchildren: Dustin, Taylor (Skyler), Alexis (Billy), Tayden, Treyvn and Deserii; Great Grandchildren, Lathen, Lakya and Kyrie; Mother: Bonnie Wright; Brother: Kevin (Rose) Wright; Sister, Tammie (Anthony) Stevens; Sisters-in-law: Cheryl (Larry) Henson and Bridget Gail Schillinger; Brothers-in-law: Eddie “Bub” (Michelle) Swank and Brian (Tammy) Swank. Celebration of Life Service will be held at 2:00 P.M., Friday, February 16, 2018 at Barnes Funeral Home, 109 W. Main St., New Paris, OH with Rodney Dunn officiating. Family will receive friends from 12:00 to 2:00 P.M. on Friday prior to the service.
