Veda H. (Cabaniss) Steck

Veda H. (Cabaniss) Steck, age 86 of West Manchester, Ohio died Thursday, April 15, 2010 at her residence. She was born on August 2, 1923 in Preble County, Ohio daughter of the late Ernest & Ada (Eakle) Cabaniss. Veda was a 1942 graduate of Lewisburg Union High School.

Preceded in death by husband of 52 years, Charles G. Steck in 1997; sisters, Ethel Cabaniss in 1929, Martha Ashman in 1962, Helen Stump in 1994, Gertrude Fowble Ehmer in 2001 & Edith Robbins in 1998; son-in-law, Orville Crowe in 2000; great grandchild, Dylan D.P. Crowe in 2009.

Survivors include daughters & son-in-law, Becky & William Smith of West Manchester, Ohio and Phyllis Crowe of Arcanum, Ohio; 5 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.

A Private Entombment Service will be held at the convenience of the family at Royal Oak Memorial Gardens in Brookville, Ohio.
