Valerie "Val" Joan Linder

Valerie "Val" Joan Linder, 55 of New Paris and formerly of Lewisburg, OH, died, Wednesday, January 4, 2017 at Reid Health in Richmond, IN after a long battle with cancer. Val was born on December 27, 1961 in Defiance, OH and resided in the Lewisburg area for many years where she was very active in the community. Val enjoyed working at the Village Florist in Lewisburg and devoted much time with the youth sports programs at Tri County North. She was a soccer coach with the TCNYSA; past treasurer of the Tri County North High School Athletic Boosters and was a "team mom" for everything. Val was an avid sports fan of the Cincinnati Reds and the Ohio State Buckeyes and always said "I'm watchin' the boy's play ball"

Survived by her husband of 32 years, Danny L. Linder and their children; Stephanie (B.J.) Robinson, Carlee (Jacob) Cox and Josh Linder; Dad & Mom, Dan & Phyllis (Hagerman) Siler; sisters, Cindy (Mike) Hefner and Sue Kuehne; grandchildren, Blake, Brooke, Adam, Madilyn, all of whom were her greatest joy and the loves of her life and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Memorial service will be held at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday, January 10, 2017 at Barnes Funeral Home, 220 E. Main St., Eaton, OH with Pastor Tom Chattin officiating.
