Thomas L. Berger

Thomas L. Berger, 82, of Union, OH, passed away peacefully on Thursday, July 4, 2013 at Englewood Manor in Englewood, OH. Born on January 15, 1931 in Piqua, OH, son of the late Clarence & Mary (Mauchamer) Berger. Thomas retired after more than 30 years as a linotype operator and had worked for many printers including the Dayton Daily News and the Piqua Daily Call. He was a Korean War Veteran and was a devoted fan of the Gerner's Softball Team, loved to watch CNN and volunteered to work in the print shop at the Carillon Historical Park in Dayton, OH. Preceded in death by his beloved wife of 50 years, Estelle J. (Bushnell) Berger in 2004.

Survived by his son, Stan (Carol) Berger of Brookville, OH; three grandchildren, Eric Berger, Kyle Berger and Jamie (Brad) Hensley; two great grandchildren, Alora Berger and Cooper Hensley.

Memorial service will be held at 7:00 pm, Friday, July 12, 2013 at Barnes Funeral Home, 411 N. Commerce St., Lewisburg, OH with Rev. David Justis officiating. Family will receive friends on Friday, July 12, 2013 from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm at the funeral home in Lewisburg.
