Thomas Ray Keckler

Thomas Ray “Tom” Keckler, age 77, of Richmond, Indiana, passed away Saturday, August 12, 2023, at Greenbriar Nursing Center in Eaton, Ohio.  Born on January 19, 1946 in Richmond, Indiana, son of the late Frank Benton & Ruby Grace (McClure) Keckler.

Tom was a graduated in 1964 from Jefferson High School in New Paris, Ohio.  Tom proudly served in the U.S. Air Force from 1964 to 1968 as a Staff Sergeant during the Vietnam War.

Tom had worked for Delta Airlines for 32 years as a supervisor in the fuel department.

Preceded in death by brother, James A. “Jim” Keckler in 2009; sister-in-law, Laura Faye Keckler in 2018.

Survived by his wife of 54 years, Susan Marie (Spencer) Keckler of Richmond, Indiana; daughter: Michelle Keckler of Richmond, Indiana; son, Michael R. (Darcy) Keckler of Covington, Kentucky; sister, Susan Lopez of Englewood, Ohio; granddaughter, Allyson Keckler; several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Graveside Inurnment will be held at 2:00 P.M., Monday, August 28, 2023 at Spring Lawn Cemetery in New Paris, Ohio.  Full Military Honors provided by the Preble County Honor Guard.  In Lieu of Flowers, please donate to One’s Favorite Charity.
