Sylvia E. Clegg, age 90, of Lewisburg, Ohio, departed this life and into the arms of the Lord, May 12, 2011, at Park West Hospital, Knoxville, Tennessee, surrounded by the love of her family.
She worked at Dayton Flexible Products in Eaton, Ohio, retiring in 1985. Before that, she worked many years at F&F Mold and Die.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Clifford F. Clegg, her step-son Eugene Clegg and her great granddaughter Jessie Paige Hazelwood as well as her dear friend Billie Williams, sisters, brothers, and several close friends.
She leaves her daughter, Margarett Clegg Stewart and her husband Paul Stewart. She also leaves her granddaughter Suzie Stewart Hazelwood, her grandson Brett (Lisa) Stewart, her great grandchildren Ashley Hazelwood Farrington and her husband Jeffrey, Asa Hazelwood and Caitlyn Stewart all of Knoxville, Tennessee. She leaves as well a step daughter-in-law, Gean Clegg Ramey, step grandchildren, Karen Clegg Knobloch, Fred Clegg, Bonnie Clegg Strand, Charlie Clegg and Sandy Clegg Ranke, all of Michigan. Step sister Virginia Bickel Dill of Richmond, Indiana. She leaves also many special nieces and nephews, Maurice and Mary Brown and family, and friends Juanita Howell and Laura Hoke of West Manchester, Ohio.
The family would also like to acknowledge her special doctor and friend, Dr. Scott Vosler and his wife Tammy.
Mrs. Clegg attended Faith Baptist Church in Lewisburg, Ohio until her illness kept her from attending. She continued to read her Bible every day and pray for her loved ones.
Mrs. Clegg loved to work in her garden while she was able and she loved flowers, especially yellow roses. She loved to pay Skip-Bo whether she won or lost.
Her radiance and beautiful smile will be missed by all. She is greatly loved.
Funeral service will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Tuesday, May 17, 2011 at Barnes Funeral Home, 220 East Main Street, Eaton, OH 45320. Interment will be held in Royal Oak Memorial Gardens, Brookville, OH. Family will receive friends on Tuesday from 12:00 – 1:00 P.M. at the funeral home.
