Steven J. "Steve" Stump

Steven J. "Steve" Stump, 71 of Arcanum, OH, passed away peacefully on Saturday, September 14, 2019.  Born on July 28, 1948 in Dayton, OH, son of the late Junior M. & B. June Stump.  Steve proudly served in the US Army as a Sergeant during the Vietnam War with the 5th Inf Mech Scouts, 1/77 HHC Scouts Platoon from 1969 to 1971.  Member of VFW, post 1108 in Richmond, IN.  Member of the 1/77 HHC Scout Veterans Association in Welcome, NC.  Steve was an avid Harley Davidson rider and loved going on trips across the country with his Scout Platoon Brothers.  Steve and his wife, Patty enjoyed going to his 1/77 Scouts Reunions.  He enjoyed spending time with his son and his grandchildren and they were the light of his life.  

Preceded by Brother, Stanley L. Stump in 1999; Sister, Cynthia L. Leffew in 2000.  

Survived by his Wife of 35 years, Patricia J. "Patty" (Ernst) Stump; Son, Steve (Shawna) Stump, Jr.; Sisters, Sandra J. (John) Stutz and Cheryl A. Coss; Grandchildren, Colton and Blake; several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
