Stephen "Doc" Combs, Jr.

Stephen "Doc" Combs, Jr., 73, of Lewisburg, OH, died Wednesday, October 5, 2016 at Victory Ridge Hospice at the VA in Dayton, OH. Born on April 14, 1943 in Pioneer, KY, he was the son of the late Stephen and Myrtle (Napier) Combs, Sr. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and was a Job Setter for General Motors in Moraine for 30 years, retiring in 1995. From 1988 to 2011 he was the owner and operator of the Village Video and Tanning in Lewisburg. Stephen was also a Real Estate Agent with B.E.I. in Lewisburg; past member of the Lewisburg Village Council; a Zoning Inspector and was a member of the Masonic Lodge in Lewisburg for many years.

In addition to his parents, Stephen is preceded in death by his brothers, George, Allen C. "Buck" and Tommy Combs; sisters, Stella Body, Eulene "Bunchie" Shofner and Opal Waddle.

Survived by his wife of 43 years, Joann (Trone) Combs; daughters and sons-in-law, Lori M. Combs, Shelley K. and John Offenbacker and Connie C. and Ryan Alley; brother and sister-in-law, Don and Kathy Combs; sisters and brother-in-law, Juanita Faye Noble and Elaine and Mike Stephenson; grandchildren, Stephen, Natascha, Jacob, Gavin, Derek and Landon; great grandson, James; nieces and nephews and many friends.

Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, October 11, 2016 at Barnes Funeral Home, 411 North Commerce Street, Lewisburg, OH with Brother Don Tucker officiating. Interment with full military honors provided by the Preble County Honor Guard will be held in Roselawn Cemetery in Lewisburg. The family will receive friends on Monday, October 10, 2016 from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
