Sidney "Sid" Norris

Sidney “Sid” Norris 73, of New Paris, OH, died peacefully at his residence on Friday morning, August 2, 2024. Born on August 29, 1950, in Dayton, Ohio, he was the son of the late Harold & Nannie (Begley) Norris. He was a U.S. Marine Veteran and retired in 2014 after 25 years of service with the Preble County Engineer’s Office.

Preceded in death by Brothers: James North in 1981 and Gregory North in 2002.

Survivors include Wife: Shelly R. (Clark) Norris; Children: Jesse Norris, Matthew Norris, Christy Mosey, Shannon & Brian Painter, and Ashley & Jason Shillingburg. Grandchildren: Caleb, Christian, Vincent, Audrey, Evelyn, Andrew, Cameron, Clara, Brayden, Hailey; Great Grandson: Wesley. Brothers: Steve (Mary Ellen) North, Ron (Barb) North. 

The family will receive friends from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM Friday, August 9, 2024, at Barnes Funeral Home, 220 East Main Street Eaton, Ohio. A Celebration of Life Service will be 1:00 PM at the funeral home with George Glaze officiating. The interment will be held in Sugar Grove Cemetery – West Alexandria, Ohio with the Preble County Honor Guard providing military honors.
