Shirley A. Sinks

Shirley A. Sinks, 73, of Eldorado, died suddenly Saturday, March 17, 2012 at her residence. She was born September10, 1938 in Eldorado, OH, the daughter of Wesley L. & Elsie Mae (Banta)Wise. Shirley was a 1956 graduate of Monroe High School, West Manchester, OH and married Marlin Sinks on February 19, 1961. Shirley's enjoyment in the sewing industry led to her employment over the years with General Athletics, Greenville; Nettle Creek, Richmond; & Seven Mile Creek Products, and additionally, she did custom upholstery from her home. She loved birds & flowers, as could be seen by her yard; she delighted in singing; had been a Sunday School teacher; and loved attending antique garden tractor shows with her husband – even had her own antique garden tractor. She & her husband attended Twin Creek Chapel Church. She was a very loving wife, mother, & grandmother, and will be missed by all who knew her. Shirley was preceded in death by her father, Wesley Wise, and a brother, Gerald L. Wise.

Her survivors include her mother, Elsie M. Wise, New Paris; husband Marlin Sinks, Eldorado; daughter Linda Blankenship, Richmond, IN; son Michael (Jennifer) Sinks, & grandsons Caleb & Joshua, West Manchester; sisters Janet Curry, KY; Elizabeth "Betty" McGurty, WV; Eileen (Ronald) Yount, New Paris; brother William (Connie) Wise, FL; sister-in-law Kay Wise, Utah; several nieces & nephews, and many friends.

The funeral service for Shirley A. Sinks will be Wednesday, March 21 at 2:00 P.M. at the Bussard-Barnes-Vaniman Funeral Home, 311 N. Main St., Eldorado, OH, with Pastor Rodney Shelley officiating. Burial will follow in Monroe Cemetery. Friends may call Wednesday, March 21 from Noon until time of the service at 2:00 P.M. Memorials can be made to the North Central Ambulance District, P.O.
