Sarah C. Lipps

Sarah C. "Kathryn" (Lindsey) Lipps, age 89 of New Paris, Ohio died Wednesday, February 17, 2010 at Heartland of Eaton. Born on September 15, 1920 in Washington County, Virginia the daughter of the late Reuben & Susie (Boling) Lindsey. She graduated in 1938 from Lewisburg Union High School, was a 4H Advisor and a member of the band boosters in Jefferson Township, active member at the Presbyterian Church in New Paris, Ohio serving as a Sunday School Teacher and Clerk of Sessions and member of the Westminster Ladies Guild.

Preceded by her husband, Carl Eugene Lipps in 2001; sister, Barbara Lindsey in 1924; brothers, Emory "Mike" Lindsey in 1989, Carl B. Lindsey, Sr. in 1994 and an infant brother in 1927.

Survived by her sons & daughter-in-law, Daniel E. Lipps of Richmond, Indiana,
David R. & Cheryl Lipps of Greenville, Ohio; daughter & son-in-law: Kay Beth & Lon Swihart of Lewisburg, Ohio; sister-in-law, Iva Lindsey of Richmond, Indiana; five grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Funeral Service will be held at 10:30 A.M. on Monday, February 22, 2010 at the Presbyterian Church, 15 North Spring Street, New Paris, Ohio with Rev. Dennis Andrews officiating. Interment will be held in Twin Creek Chapel Cemetery, West Manchester, Ohio.

Family will receive friends from 3:00 P.M. to 6:00 P.M. on Sunday, February 21, 2010 at Barnes Funeral Home, 109 West Main Street, New Paris, Ohio.
