Samuel L. Schiml, age 68, of West Alexandria, Ohio, died Sunday, July 31, 2005 at Good Samaritan Hospital in Dayton, Ohio. Born on July 27, 1937 in Dayton, Ohio he was the son of the late Samuel J. & Mayno M. (Shank) Schiml. Sam was a 1955 Chaminade High School graduate and served in the U.S. Marine Corps. In 1994 he retired after 29 years from G.T.E. Member of St. John Lutheran Church and American Legion post 322 of West Alexandria, Ohio. Preceded in death by two brothers: Norbert Schiml and Danniel Schiml.
Survived by wife of 21 years: Paula Jean (Ellis) Schiml; Daughters & sons-in-law: Patricia & Alan S. Webb of West Alexandria, Ohio; Ann & John Kern and Teresa Schiml both of Eaton, Ohio; Son & daughter-in-law: Tracy A. & Jessica Brown of Springboro, OH; Brothers & sisters-in-law: Bernard & Kay Schiml of Dayton, OH; Joseph & Sandy Schiml and Fred & Jo Schiml both of West Alexandria, OH. Sisters & brothers-in-law: Donna Loeber of Las Vegas, NV.; Sue Schiml and Jeannine & Dave Kenney both of Indianapolis, IN; Barbara & Steve Baker of Port St. Lucie, FL.; 6 Grandchildren: Maria & Marlee Kern, Paul & Alex Brown, Wendell & Brenden Webb.
Funeral service will be Thursday, August 4, 2005 - 10:00 AM at St. John Lutheran Church, Ingomar - 2139 Enterprise Road - West Alexandria, Ohio with Rev.William Zimmann, Jr. officiating. Interment will be held in Sugar Grove Cemetery - West Alexandria, Ohio with full military honors provided by the Preble County Honor Guard. Family will receive friends on Wednesday - August 3, 2005 from 5 to 8 P.M. at Barnes Funeral Home - 220 East Main Street - Eaton, Ohio.
