Sam J. Hammond

Sam J. Hammond, age 50, of New Paris, OH, died Thursday, April 26, 2012 in a car accident in Preble Co, OH. Born on May 28, 1961 in Indianapolis, IN, he was the son of Samuel G. & Corrinne (Perkins) Hammond. Sam was Owner and Operator of Patricia Hammond Trucking in New Paris, OH for 14 years.

Preceded in death by his Mother, Corrinne Hammond.

Survived by his Wife of 30 years, Patricia A. Hammond; Children, Shelly (Jeff) Standifer of West Manchester, OH and Margaret (Chris) Scarborough of West Carrollton, OH; Father, Samuel G. (Mayrene) Hammond of Richmond, IN; Brother, Jerry Hammond; Sisters, Linda (Jeff) Hickle of Boston, IN, Tina (Chris) Traugott of New Paris, OH, Pam (Roger) Stonecipher of Richmond, IN and Tammy (Robert) Hicks of Florida; Grandchildren, Dustin, Justin, Gavin, Heavenly, Nevaeh, Tayvin and Ryleigh; numerous nephews, nieces, cousins and friends.

Funeral Service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, May 1, 2012 at Barnes Funeral Home, 109 West Main Street, New Paris, OH 45347 with Rev. Anthony White officiating.
