Ruth Mcgriff

RUTH McGRIFF, 88 of Eaton, Ohio died, Tuesday, December 1, 2009 at the home of her daughter in Okemos, Michigan. Born on May 4, 1921 in Lewisburg, Ohio she was the daughter of the late Ora Ozro and Pearl May (Shively) Heeter. She was a 1938 graduate of Lewisburg-Union High School and was a nursing assistant at Rust Rest Home and Eaton Care Center both in Eaton. In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her husband, Cecil Eugene McGriff in 1998; daughter, Joyce E. McRill in 1987; sister, Miriam Lipps in 1984 and brother, Fern Heeter in 1976.

Survived by her daughter, Jane L. McGriff of Okemos, Michigan; grandsons, Jeff and Justin (Heather) McRill and David and Daniel Finks; great grandchildren, Harley, Jessie, Laine, Isaac and Kireen McRill; nieces, nephews and cousins.

Funeral services will be 1:00 p.m. Saturday, December 5, 2009 at the Barnes Funeral Home, 220 East Main Street, Eaton, Ohio 45320 with Rev. James Ernst officiating. Interment will be held in Preble Memory Gardens near West Alexandria, Ohio. Family will receive friends on Saturday, December 5, 2009 from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
