Ruth Marie Parker

RUTH MARIE PARKER, 101, of Eaton, Ohio, died Thursday, May 10, 2012 at Greenbriar Nursing Center in Eaton. Ruth was born on December 25, 1910 in New Paris, Ohio, daughter of the late James W. and Maude M. (Cooper) Jackson. A 1929 graduate of Jefferson Township High School, Ruth moved to New Mexico in 1946 and returned to Preble County in 2002. She was a member of the Preble County Senior Citizens.

In addition to her parents Ruth is preceded in death by her husband, Raymond O. Parker in 1967; her son, Jack Parker in 1998; brothers, Guy and Willard Jackson; sisters, Mary Emmons, Thelma Conway and Esther M. Harter.

Ruth is survived by her nephews, John (Joyce) Conway, Charles (Bev) Conway, Dale (Jane) Emmons and Richard Harter; nieces, Betty Blose and Shirley Scavetta.

A visitation will be held from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, May 16, 2012 at Barnes Funeral Home, 220 East Main Street, Eaton, Ohio for friends and family. There will be no formal funeral service. Interment will be held in Spring Lawn Cemetery in New Paris, Ohio. Memorial Contributions may be made to the Preble County Council on Aging, 800 East St. Clair St., Eaton, Ohio 45320.
