Roy O. Sipe

Roy O. Sipe age 85 of Richmond, IN and formerly of New Paris, Ohio died Thursday August 20, 2009 at Reid Hospital in Richmond, IN. He was born on July 13, 1924 in Fletcher, Ohio the son of the late Charles & Edith (South) Sipe. Roy has lived in Richmond for the past seven years and was a self employed building contractor. He was a W.W. II Army veteran. Life member of the American Legion Post of New Paris; V.F.W. Post in Eaton; Amvets at Eldorado and the Moose Lodge in Richmond and he loved to fish and hunt.

Survived by Wife: Emogene (Swallow) Sipe; Daughters: Jane Sipe of Mexico; Cathy Colorado of Michigan; Cindy Perkel of Florida and Nancy Haverkos of New Mexico; Brother: Richard Sipe of Bloomington, IN; Sister: Nettie Smith of Michigan and Uncle Dalmus Marsden of North Dakota; 4 Grandchildren.

Funeral service will be held 2:00 PM Tuesday, August 25, 2009 at Barnes Funeral Home 109 West Main Street - New Paris, Ohio. Interment with full military services provided by the Preble County Honor Guard will be held in Springlawn Cemetery in New Paris, Ohio.
