Ronnie Lee League

Ronnie Lee League, age 72, of Lewisburg, Ohio, passed away on Thursday, October 7, 2021, at Kettering Medical Center in Dayton, Ohio. Born September 24, 1949, the son of the late William Kenneth & Marilyn Gene (MaGatha) League.

Ronnie was a true American Man, a man's man who loved the outdoors. He was a hunter, a fisherman and loved searching for mushrooms. However, his true love in life was his family, his "honey-do" lists though endless were completed with love and care. Along with being a craftsman, Ronnie’s life skills were almost endless. He loved to fabricate if Marlene was by his side also, he enjoyed innovating.  His solutions to problems, or potential ways of making a job easier, was tackled by his seemingly endless combination of abilities, which resulted in often better solutions. Along with all that knowledge he had had negotiating power like no other, he made both parties feel good about the result. Ronnie loved his television shows, if westerns were on Ronnie had seen it and was watching it again, anything nostalgic he enjoyed.  He is everything to his family.

Ronnie proudly served in the U.S. Navy. He was aboard the USS America CVA-66 from April 3, 1968 – November 17th 1969 amid the escalating Vietnam war. He is our real-life hero.  Ronnie was a hard worker he was employed at The Dayton Tire and Rubber Company, moved on to work for The Village of Lewisburg, then finally retiring from The Parker Hannifin Company after 22 years as the Lead Foreman on the 3rd shift. He was a man you could model yourself after.

Ronnie was preceded in death by his grandsons Drew "Dew-Bug" Talley and Dominic Talley. His sisters, Sandy Blessing, Pamela K. Day, and Cherri Lynn Hix.

He is survived by his wife of 50 years Marlene League; Children, Heather (Chad) Talley, Rebecca (Tim) Colston, Erica (Terry) Brown, Amanda Generette (Mary), Renee (Tejay) Evans, Ronnie (Chelsea) league, Rachelle (Mike) Snouffer, Shanna League (Christian) Melvin ; grandchildren Danielle, Chad jr., Poppy, Staley, Trinity (Mark) Wysong, Aubrey, Pandora, Terrell, Lillie, Kolton, Kameo, Kane, Kenzlee, Calliope, Harlow, Xavier, Elizabeth, Victoria, Kyrie, and great-granddaughter Troian.
