Ronald T. "Ron" Smith

Ronald T. “Ron” Smith, 68 of New Paris, Ohio, died Tuesday, February 9, 2021. Born on April 19, 1952 in Richmond, Indiana, he was the son of the late George B. & Jean (Parker) Smith. He was a Truck Driver for over 30 years on the road and had worked for Spartech Plastic in Richmond.

Preceded in death by his Wife: Linda Sue Smith in 2007; Infant daughter Rhonda Sue Smith in 1973.

Survived by his Sons: Ronald W. “Bear” Smith and companion Deana Krupa and Rodney T. “Hot Rod" Smith and companion Neil Jordan; Brothers: Terry L. (Debbie) Smith, Dale E. (Diane) Smith and Roger W. (Mary) Smith; Sister: Melissa C. (Jon) Stoltz; 2 Grandchildren: Bubba and Sis Smith. Nieces, Nephews and Cousins. 

Funeral Service will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Tuesday, February 16, 2021 at Barnes Funeral Home, 109 West Main Street, New Paris, Ohio with Rev. Reggie Osborne officiating. Interment will be held in Spring Lawn Cemetery in New Paris. Family will receive friends on Tuesday from 11:00 A.M. to 1:00 P.M. 

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, you are required to wear a facemask prior to entering the funeral home and practice social distancing.
