Ronald Eugene Oler

Ronald E. Oler, 77, of Whitewater-Eldorado Rd., New Paris, died suddenly Sunday morning, November 22, 2015 at his residence. He was the oldest son of the late Russell & Elsie Oler, and was born at his parent's residence on Billman Rd Darke County, OH on September 2, 1938. Ronald was a 1956 graduate of Jefferson High School, New Paris, and was a life-time hay farmer and a 45 year employee of the Producers Livestock Association (PLA) in Eaton.

Ronald was a bachelor for many years, until he met the love of his life, Nancy Davidson. They were married September 13, 1993.

Survivors include his wife, Nancy; brothers: Jerry Oler, Florida; Keith (Bonnie) Oler, Larry (Millie) Oler, both of New Paris; sisters: Marjorie Oler, Marilyn (Dick) Elleman, both of New Paris; Mary (Bob) Oakes, Casstown; Wilma O'Conner, Richmond; several nieces, nephews, great nieces & nephews.

Also, sisters-in-law: Kathryn Wires, Oregon; Mary E. Dierksheide, Bowling Green; Helen (John) Merillat, Wauseon; 3 step-children: Angela Verseman, Curtis Hoel & Robert Hoel; 3 step-grandchildren: Jewel Verseman, Carson Hoel, Rhett Hoel. Special friends include hay haulers Farrell Allen, Chad Allen, Wendell Allen, Travis Allen and their families & co-workers at PLA (Producers).

The family of Ronald E. Oler will receive friends on Sunday, November 29, 2015 from 2:00 – 5:00 PM at the Bussard-Barnes-Vaniman Funeral Home, 311 N. Main St., Eldorado, OH 45321. Casual dress would be Ronald's request.
