Rodney J. Kolb

Rodney J. Kolb, 67, of Somerville, OH died Friday, April 1, 2016 at Fort Hamilton Hospital in Hamilton, OH. Born on October 23, 1948 in Hamilton, OH, he was the son of the late Earl A. & Ethel L. (Fisher) Kolb. A 1966 graduate of Preble Shawnee High School, Rodney was a life-long farmer and was retired from Miami University where he was the Station Manager for the Ecology Research Center. Rodney enjoyed spending time with his family and friends playing cards, playing marbles and having dinner with the "Friday Night Dinner Club". He also enjoyed traveling to farm shows and the Con Expo in Las Vegas, Nevada.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brother, Ronald Kolb and his father-in-law, Robert Rich, Sr.

Rodney is survived by his wife of 37 years, Teresa L. (Rich) Kolb; daughters, Kayla Jo (Fiancé Erich Ziegler) of Darrtown, OH and Kirsten Kolb of Cincinnati, OH; brother, Kenny (Elaine) Kolb of Eaton, OH; sisters, Gayle Vest and Ruth (Bob) Bray both of Camden, OH, Anita Dickhaus of Eaton and Judy Davidson; mother-in-law, Virginia Rich of Somerville; granddaughter, Alyssa Hornsby; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Rob and Sharon Rich of Somerville; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of friends.

Family will receive friends from 3:00 to 6:00 P.M. on Tuesday, April 5, 2016 at the Nein-Barnes Funeral Home, 249 North Main St., Camden, OH with the funeral service to be held at 6:00 PM with Pastor John Witt officiating.
