Roberta L. Dove

Roberta L. “Bertie” Dove, age 87 of Brookville, Ohio, formerly of Lewisburg, died Friday, October 13, 2023 in Brookville. Born on September 1, 1936 in Montgomery County, Ohio, she was the daughter of the late Arless “Bud” & Lucille (Wright) Cummins.

Bertie worked for the Tri-County North School District for 17 years. She was a 1955 Lewisburg Union High School graduate. She loved to make clothing, cross stitch, crochet, travel, but most of all she loved spending time with her grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her Brothers: Richard L. Cummins and Steffen L. Cummins; Granddaughter: Jessica Lynn Dove.

Survived by her Husband of 69 years: Ralph E. Dove; Son: James L. (Debbie) Dove; Daughter: Rhonda K. (Jerry) Downey; Grandchildren: Blake (Meredith) Downey, Jacob Dove, Jessie Downey and Kaylee Downey; Great Grandchildren: Graham and Margot Downey; Nieces, Nephews and a host of friends.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Tuesday, October 24, 2023 at the Lewisburg United Methodist Church, 3147 US Rt 40 East, Lewisburg, with Pastor David Brisker officiating. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, October 24, 2023 immediately following the service at the church.
