Robert W. Dixon

ROBERT W. DIXON, 84, of Lewisburg, OH, died Tuesday, April 10, 2012 at Cypress Pointe Healthcare Center in Englewood, OH. Robert was born on February 4, 1928 in Scioto County, OH son of the late Harold and Cassie E. (Barker) Dixon. A veteran of the U.S. Army, he was a Master Mechanic for B.G. Danis Co. in Dayton, OH until his retirement. In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by a son, Robert Lewis Dixon.

Robert is survived by his wife of 59 years, Velma (Fyffe) Dixon; daughter, Phyllis Waddle of Lewisburg; son, Harold (Grace) Dixon of Havelock, N.C.; sisters, June (Lowell) Ferguson of Fairborn, OH, Betty Hendron and Judy Dixon both of Lexington, KY; brothers, Bill ( Betty Jo) Dixon of Louisville, KY and Harold (Jeannae) Dixon of Miami, FL; grandchildren, Scott (Heather) Creech and Jessica Creech; great grandchildren, Brittanii (Dustin) Music, Ashleigh Swigert, Nicholas and Nathan Harrod, Tayler Creech and Zachary Creech and great great grandson, Wilson Music; nieces and nephews.

Funeral Service will be held at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, April 14, 2012 at Barnes Funeral Home, 411 North Commerce St., Lewisburg, OH 45338. Interment with full military honors provided by the Preble County Honor Guard will be held in Roselawn Cemetery in Lewisburg. Family will receive friends on Saturday from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
