Robert P. Thompson

ROBERT P. THOMPSON, 81, of Eaton, OH, died Friday, May 18, 2012 at Heartland of Eaton. Robert was born on March 13, 1931 in Eaton, OH, son of the late James Caleb and Josephine Lucinda (Tipton) Thompson. A 1949 graduate of Eaton High School, Robert was retired from GM in Dayton where he was a Coordinator for 37 years. He was a member of the Full Gospel Temple in Eaton.

In addition to his parents Robert is preceded in death by his first wife, Hazel Maxine Thompson; son, Bruce Thompson; brother, Jim Thompson; sisters, E. Lucille Kenworthy, Ruth Ann Lowther and Betty Van Hart and step son, Danny Spurlock.

Robert is survived by his wife of 26 years, Pauline E. (Blevins) Thompson; sons & daughter-in-law, Daniel (Teresa) Thompson and Bobby Thompson both of Eaton; sister, Jean Thomas of Fairfield, OH; step children & spouses, Anita (Charles) Hawn of Crab Orchard, KY, Michael Spurlock of Middletown, OH, Royce (Joann) Spurlock, Trotwood, OH, Darice (Cathy) Spurlock of Huber Heights, OH, Sandra (Ron) Martin of Gladys, VA, Bruce (Michelle) Spurlock of Beavercreek, OH, Jana (Mark) Brown, Troy, OH and Timothy Spurlock of New Lebanon, OH; 30 grandchildren, 52 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild.

Funeral Service will be held at 1:00 p.m., Monday, May 21, 2012 at Barnes Funeral Home, 220 East Main Street, Eaton, OH. Interment will be held in Fairview Cemetery in West Alexandria. Family will receive friends on Sunday, May 20, 2012 from 3:00 to 6:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Memorial Contributions may be made to the Full Gospel Temple, 4745 N. US Route 127, Eaton, OH 45320.
