Robert L. Campbell, 80, of Camden, OH, died Saturday, December 29, 2012 at Hospice of Dayton. Born on November 8, 1932 in Rush County, Indiana, he was the son of the late Louis D. & Dorothy (Leisure) Campbell. Mr. Campbell retired in 1995 from Henderson Turf Farm in Franklin, OH after 28 years and was a Dixon Twp. Farmer with several awards including Innovative Farmer Award. A 1950 graduate of Dixon Twp., High School, he served as a Director for the First National Bank in Camden from 1965-1983 and served as a Founding Director of the Community National Bank in Franklin, OH from 1983-2005. A member and former Trustee of the Sugar Valley United Methodist Church. A member of the Preble County Farm Bureau and Council Group #1 and was in the U.S. Army at Fort Knox, KY. He attended Earlham College and enjoyed family outings, including flying his plane and Florida trips.
Preceded in death by Sisters: Norma Jean Miller in 2012 and Reita Mae Henderson in 1984.
Survived by Wife of 48 years: Judy A. (Raspillaire) Campbell; Children: Robert Todd (Angie) Henderson, Springboro, OH, Dawna Beth (Casper) Hagan, Springboro, OH and Stephen Louis (Shelley) Henderson, Franklin, OH; Sister: Alice B. (Mel) Roquemore, Dayton, OH; 6 Grandchildren, 1 Great Grandchild. Nieces, Nephews, Cousins and many friends.
Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, January 3, 2013 at the Sugar Valley United Methodist Church, 3022 Camden - Sugar Valley Rd, Eaton, OH with Pastor Gerald R. Sadai officiating. Interment will be held in Mound Hill Cemetery in Eaton. Family will receive friends on Wednesday, January 2, 2013 from 4 – 7 p.m. at Barnes Funeral Home, 220 East Main Street, Eaton, OH and one hour prior to service on Thursday at the church.
