Robert E. Wright

Robert E. (Bob) Wright, 81, a retired executive with NCR passed away, suddenly, on September 9, 2009 at Johns Hopkins University Hospital in Baltimore, Maryland.
While serving in the US Navy on the USS Burleson during 1946 and 1947 he participated in Operation Crossroads at Bikini Atoll. Bob married Kathryn M. Waymire on May 17, 1947. He was also stationed at Bethesda Naval Hospital in Bethesda, Maryland. At the end of his service, the couple returned to Dayton, Ohio. He graduated from Verona High School in 1945 and from University of Dayton with a B.S. in Business Administration in 1952.
Bob worked for NCR for 38 years selling and directing teams that sold accounting and financial systems and in education. He retired in 1990. He had a long career with NCR, living in Dayton, Ohio, Cleveland, Ohio, Detroit, Michigan, Rockville, Maryland, Wichita, Kansas and Islip, New York. During his career with NCR he consistently surpassed goals earning membership in its Century Point Club.
He then became a Vice President of Intelligent Solutions in Falls Church, Virginia, where he achieved five successful years selling computer systems on Capitol Hill, finally retiring again in 1995. He lived in Centerville, Ohio from 1996 until July of this year. Bob had just recently moved to Columbia, Maryland to be with his children.
Robert E. Wright was born December 28, 1927 in Brookville, Ohio. Husband of the late Kathryn M. Wright. Beloved father to three children, Sheila Wright Rovelstad of Columbia Maryland, Jay R. Wright of Colwich, Kansas and Michele Wright Alford of Woodstock, Maryland. Grandfather to the late Peter Rovelstad, Kirsten Rovelstad Maccio, Andrew Wright, Jonathan Wright and Richard Alford.
Brother to Maxine Evans of Dublin, Ohio, the late Corral Hartman of Lewisburg, Ohio, the late Elmer Wright of Lewisburg, Ohio and the late Betty Henn of Verona, Ohio. Cousin to Gloria Highfill and uncle to many nieces and nephews.
Funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, September 15, 2009 at Barnes Funeral Home, 411 North Commerce Street, Lewisburg, Ohio with Rev. David O. Justis officiating. Interment will be in Roselawn Cemetery - Lewisburg, Ohio. Family will receive friends on Tuesday, September 15, 2009 from 12:00 to 2:00 P.M. at the funeral home.
