Robert E. Plsek

Robert E. Plsek, age 85 of Verona, OH and formerly of Kettering, OH died Sunday, July 17, 2016 in Brookville, OH. He was born on May 14, 1931 in Dayton, OH, son of the late Matthew J. & Helen M. (Kudelka) Plsek. Robert was a decorated veteran in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict. Following the war Robert worked for Fyr-Fyter, Chrysler and retired from Quality Control at Duriron in Dayton. Robert was a member of the Ascension Catholic Church and the V.F.W. Post 2800 both of Kettering. An avid golfer and bowler, Robert loved all sports, but most of all he loved spending time with his family and friends.

In addition to his parents, his sister-in-law, Judy Plsek, precedes Robert in death.

Survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Matthew L. and Sondra Plsek of Verona, OH; daughter and son-in-law, Teri L. and Les Loranzan of West Manchester, OH; sister, Mary Ann Plsek of Springfield, OH and brother, Jerry Plsek, of Brooksville, FL; grandchildren, Ashley N. (Joe) Smith, Robert M. Plsek, Julie Bernier and Les Loranzan; great grandchildren, Emma Hale, Preston Smith, and Kylie Bernier; nieces Karen and Nancy.

Funeral Service will be at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, July 21, 2016 at Barnes Funeral Home, 411 N. Commerce St., Lewisburg, OH with Rev. William Schilling officiating. Interment with full military honors provided by the Preble County Honor Guard will be held in Roselawn Cemetery in Lewisburg. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, July 20, 2016 from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
