Robert E. Hitte

Robert E. Hitte, 70, of Eaton, Ohio, died Sunday, August 15, 2021 at his residence. Born on February 12, 1951 in Middletown, Ohio, he was the son of the late Robert C. & Gladys (Lawson) Hitte. Robert was a Minister for the Church of God for over 30 years. He served the communities of Eaton, Hamilton, Wellston and Carmel, Ohio. A 1969 graduate of Valley View High School, Robert was a Bishop in the Church of God since 1988, Minister of Music since 1981 and served on the Church of God licensing examining board for 11 years. He loved to preach and was a John Wayne fan. 

Survived by his Wife of 48 years: Peggy Lynn (Towe) Hitte; Children: Stacie Hilsmier, Travis (Christy) Hitte and Justin (Rachelle) Hitte; Siblings: Danny (Lula) Hitte, Ronald (Karen) Hitte, Dennis (Paula) Hitte and Carol (Ronald) Burke. Grandchildren: Dalton Hilsmier, Kurtis Vickers, Austin Hitte, Jesse Hilsmier, Declan Hitte, Eliana Hitte and Kassi Cartee. Nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of friends. 

Funeral Service will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Thursday, August 19, 2021 at Stratford Heights Church of God, 4419 Nelson Rd, Middletown, OH 45042 with Rev. Barry Clardy officiating. Interment will be held in Sugar Grove Cemetery, West Alexandria, Ohio. Family will receive friends on Thursday from 11:00 A.M. to 1:00 P.M. at the church.
