Robert C. Herrmann

Robert C. Herrmann, 76, of Eldorado, OH died Wednesday, April 12, 2017 at Miami Valley Hospital in Dayton. Born on June 5, 1940 in Connersville, IN, he was the son of the late Edward H. & Louise M. (Roell) Herrmann. A resident of Preble County since 1946 and was a Preble County farmer for many years. Robert was a 1958 graduate of Monroe High School and was a mail carrier for the United States Postal Service for 49 years. He was a member of St. John Catholic Church in New Paris.

In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by his brothers, Albert and Bernard Herrmann and sister, Stella Berg.

Survived by his wife of 53 years, Sharon (Eichhorn) Herrmann; children, Carol A. (Bill Phillips) Brannon, Robert B. (Shelley) Herrmann, Michael E. (Sherri) Herrmann and Nicholas J. (Twila) Herrmann; brothers and sisters, Paul Herrmann, Catherine Norris, Helen (Harold) Parks, John Herrmann and Ed (Jan) Herrmann; grandchildren, Adam (Christie) Brannon, Emily Brannon, Zac, Austen and Josh Herrmann, Tanner, Shelby, Payton and Travis Herrmann, Levi, Malerie and Dillon Herrmann; great grandchildren, Jackson and Thomas Brannon; numerous nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends on Monday, April 17, 2017 from 5:00 to 7:00 PM at Barnes Funeral Home 109 West Main Street, New Paris, Ohio. Rosary will be conducted at 7:00 p.m. Mass of Christian burial will be held at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, April 18, 2017 at St. John Catholic Church, 400 North Spring Street, New Paris with Father Matthew Amoako-Attah officiating. Interment will be held in Spring Lawn Cemetery in New Paris.
