Robert Allen Booso

ROBERT ALLEN BOOSO, age 50, of West Manchester, died Monday, July 11, 2011. Robert was born on July 15, 1960 at the family farm in Lewisburg, first grandchild of Frank & Margaret Booso, first grandchild of Kenneth & Betty Hoops, Sr., and firstborn of John A. Booso & Shirley A. Hoops. Robert was a 1979 graduate of Twin Valley North High School and attended Defiance College where he played college football. Member of the Pennsylvania Steel Workers Union for 16 years and the Ohio Carpenters Union for 2 years as a lead carpenter and a heavy machine operator. Member of AMVETS, Post 24 of Dayton.

Preceded by mother, Shirley A. Hoops in 2011; sister-in-law, Tabie Booso in 2009; uncle, Kenneth O. Hoops, Jr. in 2005; aunts, Marilyn L. Antonis in 1982 and Carolyn Magby in 2010.

Survived by his father & step mother, John Allen & Nellie L. Booso of Lewisburg; son, Jacob Booso of Muskegon, Michigan; mother of his only child, Anne M. Vandenbosch of Muskegon, Michigan; siblings, Steven S. Booso and Mark Booso both of Lewisburg, Karen Booso of West Manchester, and Randy F. Booso of Eaton; Nellie's children, step brothers & sister, Paul Roof of Indianapolis, Indiana, Christina Burkhart of Washington, D.C., and Scott Roof of Tampa, Florida; nephews & nieces, Scott, Celina, Zachery, Kasey, Brett, Greg Jr., Nathaniel, Tiffany, Taylor, Alexander, and Nolan; many uncles, aunts, cousins and friends; girlfriend, Brenda J. Wilson of Vandalia.

Funeral Service will be held 10:30 am, Saturday, July 16, 2011 at Barnes Funeral Home, 411 N. Commerce St., Lewisburg, Ohio 45338 with Rev. David O. Justis officiating. Interment will be held at Roselawn Cemetery in Lewisburg. Family will receive friends from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Friday, July 15, 2011 at the funeral home.
