Richard E. Grove

Richard E. Grove, age 83, of Eaton, Ohio, died Sunday, January 29, 2006 at Reid Hospital in Richmond, Indiana. Born on September 1, 1922 in Tipp City, Miami County, Ohio he was the son of the late Leroy & Myrtle (Ashcroft) Grove. Richard had served with the 173rd Field Artillery
Division of the U.S. Army during WW II. In 1983 he retired as a Insurance General Agent with Huntington Insurance Agency in Richmond, IN. Member of First Presbyterian Church in Eaton, OH. Preceded in death by son: Kimberly Grove in 1960; Daughter Sherri Grove in 1993, First Wife: Mary Gard Grove in 1968 from the Richmond, IN explosion; Second wife: Nancy Burkhart Grove in 1982. Brother: Robert Grove in 2003; Sisters: Imogene Tobias, Katherine Kiser, Evelyn Ryman.

Survived by wife of 20 years: Ellen Rose (Brandenburg) Swank Grove; Son: Richard Grove II of Richmond, IN; Daughters: Sharyn Boger of Huber Heights, OH, Sarah Fiaschetti of Taberg, NY and Janita Grove of Columbus, OH. Sister: Margaret Studebaker of Troy, OH. 6 Granddaughters and 2 Great Granddaughters.

Funeral Services will held on Thursday, February 2, 2006 - 11:00 AM
at Barnes Funeral Home - 220 East Main Street - Eaton, Ohio with Rev. Wayne D. Morrison officiating. Interment will be held in Boston Cemetery - Boston, IN. with full military services provided by the Preble County Honor Guard.
