Richard A. Sears

Richard A. Sears, 81, of Richmond, IN, died Sunday, December 11, 2016 at Arbor Trace Nursing Home in Richmond. He was born on September 30, 1934 in Eaton, OH, son of the late Clifford A. and Bessie Irene (Coning) Sears. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and was a retired attendant from the Richmond State Hospital. He was also a retired machinist from AVCO in Richmond. Richard loved to build and fly remote control airplanes and was a NN9V Ham Radio Operator.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his first wife, Kay Sears in 1982.

Richard is survived by his wife of 27 years, Janice (Powell) Sears; step-sons and daughter-in-law, Daniel (Debra) McFarland and Mark McFarland; sister: N. Carol Poe.

A private interment will be held at the convenience of the family in Spring Lawn Cemetery, New Paris, OH.
