Richard A. Keller

Richard A. “Dick” Keller, age 71 of New Paris, Ohio, died Tuesday, August 15, 2006 after an extended illness. Born on July 12, 1935 in Preble County, Ohio, he was the son of the late John H. & Marie B. (Baker) Keller, Sr. He was a 1953 graduate of Jefferson Township High School. He was a brick layer for over 52 years for John H. Keller & Sons of New Paris, Ohio until an illness forced him to retire. He coached girls softball for many years in Jefferson Township. Dick had a passion for antique cars, an avid baseball fan, and always was a Cincinnati Reds fan. Preceded in death by his wife: Ruth Ann (Stegall) Keller in 1990; brother: Robert G. Keller in 1963; sister: Betty L. Horigan in 2006.

He is survived by son & daughter-in-law: Richard “Dickie” & Jean Keller of New Paris, Ohio; daughter & son-in-law: Terri & Larry Swihart of New Paris, Ohio; brothers & sisters-in-law: John & Joan Keller, Jr. Of New Paris, Ohio, James & Alisha Keller of Bowling Green, Ohio, and Raymond Keller of Sun Lakes, Arizona; sisters & brother-in-law: Joyce & Ronnie Neanen and June Arnett all of New Paris, Ohio; grandchildren: Nicole, Larry Jr., and Megan; great grandchild: Katelyn; several nieces, nephews, cousins; special friend: Stella Brown of Eaton, Ohio.

Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, August 19, 2006 at Barnes Funeral Home - 109 West Main Street - New Paris, Ohio with Rev. Mark Wesler officiating. Interment will be held in Springlawn Cemetery. Family will receive friends on Friday, August 18, 2006 from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
