Rhoda C. Hubek

Rhoda C. (Boggs) Hubek, age 87, of Eaton, Ohio, died Monday, April 16, 2012 at Vancrest Health Care Center in Eaton, Ohio. Born on October 2, 1924 in Dayton, Ohio, daughter of the late George H. & Beatrice (Gebhart) Boggs. Rhoda was a clerk at Westvaco in Eaton, Ohio for many years and a volunteer driver for the American Red Cross in Preble County for 10 years. Member of St. Ann's Sodality. Member of Visitation Catholic Church in Eaton, Ohio. Rhoda proudly served as a corporal in the US Army Air Force during World War II where she was a chaplain assistant.

Preceded in death by her husband, Stephen A. Hubek in 1997; daughter-in-law, Sherry Hubek in 2011; sister, Jane Ann Seegers; brother, John H. Boggs.

Survived by children, Stephen M. Hubek of London, Ohio; Carolyn (John Robert) Lowman of Eaton, Ohio and Sarah (John David) Turman of Taylor Mill, Kentucky; grandchildren, John Walter Lowman, Zachary Scott Turman, Stephen M. Hubek, Abby Brooke Turman, Timothy Alan Lowman, Lori Marie Lowman; great grandchildren, Peyton and Chloe; nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Visitation will be held from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm on Thursday, April 19, 2012 at Nein Barnes Funeral Home, 249 North Main Street, Camden, Ohio 45311 with a Rosary Service at 7:00 pm.

Funeral Mass will be held at 11:00 am on Friday, April 20, 2012 at St. Mary's Catholic Church, 7721 North Main Street, Camden, Ohio. Interment will be held in Fairmount Cemetery with full military honors provided by the Preble County Honor Guard.
